Brain imaging

Brain imaging using MRI

What is brain imaging?

Brain imaging refers to methods for measuring the structure and function of the brain.

There are many types of brain imaging, but the one will be using in this project is called magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

What is magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)?

MRI uses strong magnetic fields to measure different tissues and naturally occurring chemicals in your body.

A video explaining what will happen if you take part in the brain imaging in Study 1 is available here:

How does it work?

For a summary of how MRI works, you can read the information in pages 1-4 here: https://the-epic-study.quarto.pub/the-epic-project/mri_tdcs_summary_short.html

Or a slightly longer description in pages 1-8 here: https://the-epic-study.quarto.pub/the-epic-project/mri_tdcs_summary_long.html
